I propose a Moroccan pancakes recipe called in Morocco the “baghrir” and nicknamed “pancakes thousand holes.”
The baghrir is delicious. It is so light, with a spongy texture. It is also cooked without fat.
Ingredients: (20 piece)
- 200g semolina
- 100g of flour
- 2 tsp yeast
- 8g baking powder
- salt clamp
- 640 ml of warm water
Preparation Methods:
- In a blender mix the semolina with the flour, yeast, baking powder, salt and water, then mix everything for 5 minutes.
- let stand for 30 minutes
- Cook the pancakes over medium heat in a nonstick pan, the pancakes are cooked one side.
- let crepes on a clean cloth separately.
Serve the pancakes with honey, cream cheese, melted butter or jam.

Je vous propose une recette de crêpes marocaine, appelée au Maroc « le baghrir » et surnommée «crêpes à mille trous ».
Le baghrir est délicieux. Il est tellement léger, avec une texture spongieuse. Il est aussi cuit sans aucune matière grasse.

- 2 càc de levure de boulanger
- 8g de levure chimique
- Pince de sel
- 640 ml d’eau tiède
Méthodes de préparation :
- Dans un mixeur mélanger la semoule fine avec la farine, la levure de boulanger, levure chimique, le sel et l’eau, puis mixer le tout pendant 5 minutes.
- laisser reposer pendant 30 minutes
- Faire cuire les crêpes à feu moyen, Dans une poêle anti-adhésive, les crêpes sont cuites en une seule face.
- Laisser refroidir les crêpes sur un linge propre séparément.
Servir baghrir avec du miel, du fromage frais, du beurre fondu, ou de la confiture.
I love the simplicity of this recipe. This will be a challenge for me not to flip the pancakes! Lol.
